A liver remedy with pronounced characteristic constipation.

मैग्नेशिया म्यूरियेटिका जिगर की तकलीफों में प्रायः लाभ करती है  जबकि साथ में मैग्नेशिया म्यूरियेटिका के   विशेष प्रकार के  कब्ज से भी रोगी पीड़ित हो। 

Chronic liver affections with tenderness and pain, लिवरकी पुरानी  बीमारी में दर्द, छूने से भी तकलीफ़ होती है.  

extending to spine and epigastrium, दर्द रीढ़ और अधिजठर तक जाता है,

worse after food. दर्द भोजन करने के बाद अधिक हो जाता है।

Head.--Sensitive to noise; मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के रोगी को आवाज असह्य होती है

bursting headache; worse, motion, open air; सर फट जाने जैसा सिर दर्द जो हरकत से, हिलने-डुलने से और खुली हवा में  बढ़ता है

better, pressure, and wrapping up warmly (Sil; Stront). यह  सिर दर्द दबाने  से और गरम कपड़ा लपेटने से कम हो जाता है अर्थात रोगी सर दर्द होने पर ‘सर-दबाना’ पसन्द करता है और अपने सर को कपड़ेसे ढ़ापना भी चाहता है ( साइलीशिया, स्द्रानशियाना कार्बोनिका)। 

Much sweating of head (Calc, Sil). मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के रोगी को सिर पर अधिक पसीना होता है (केल्के, साइलि०)| 

Facial neuralgia pains, dull, aching, मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के रोगी को मन्द टीस जैसा चेहरे का स्नायुशूल होता है 

worse damp weather,यह दर्द नमी युक्त  मौसम में अधिक होता है; 

worse slightest draft,जरा भी बाहरी हवा से तकलीफ बढ़ती है;

better pressure heat.‘सर-दबाने’ से और गर्माहट से राहत मिलती है। 

Nose.--Nostrils ulcerated,नथुनो में दाने  और घाव हो जाते हैं। 

Coryza. nose stopped and fluent.जुकाम में नाक बन्द रहती है और नाक बहती भी है।  

Loss of smell and taste, following catarrh. जुकाम के बाद सूंघने और चखने की अक्षमता अर्थात रोगी को गंध महसूस नहीं होती, उसे स्वाद भी नहीं महसूस होता|

Cannot lie down. Must breathe through mouth.

मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका का रोगी जुकाम होने पर लेट नहीं  सकता और  मुँह से साँस लेता है। 

Mouth.-- Blisters on lips. मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के  रोगी के होठों पर छाले हो जाते हैं ।  

Gums swollen, bleed easily.मसूढ़े सूज जाते हैं, मसूढ़ों से  सरलता से खून निकलता है  | 

Tongue feels burnt and scalded. जबान जैसे किसी गर्म खाने की चीजसे जल गई हो  |

Throat dry, with hoarseness. गला सूखा, आवाज में भारीपन ख़राश।  

Stomach.--Appetite poor, bad taste in mouth.  मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के  रोगी की भूख कम हो जाती  है , मुँह का स्वाद खराब रहता है 

Eructations like rotten eggs. सड़े अण्डों की तरह की डकार आती है 

Continued rising of white froth into mouth मुंह में बराबर सफेद झाग आता रहता है 

Cannot digest milk.  मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका का   रोगी दूध नहीं  पचा सकता 

Urine can be passed only by pressing abdominal muscles.

पेशाब करने के लिए पेट की माँसपेशियों को दबाना  पड़ता है (यह लक्षण ज्यादातर महिलाओं में पाया जाता है)

Abdomen.--Pressing pain in liver; worse lying on right side. लिवर में दबाव जैसा दर्द जो दाहिनी तरफ लेटने से बढ़ता है 

Liver enlarged with bloating of abdomen; yellow tongue.  मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के  रोगी का लिवर बढ़ा हुआ पेट  फूला हुआ,  जबान पीली हो जाती  है ;

Congenital scrotal hernia. जन्म से ही अण्डकोष में आँत उतरना

Must use abdominal muscles to enable him to urinate.पेशाब करने के लिए पेट की माँसपेशियों की मदद लेनी पड़ती है 

Urine.--Urine difficult to void.  पेशाब की थैली में जो पेशाब जमा होता है उसे खाली करने में कठिनाई होती है 

Bladder can only be emptied by straining and pressure.

मूत्राशय खाली करने के लिए काँखना  और पेट को  दबाना पड़ता है अर्थात मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के  रोगी को पेशाब तब होती है जब वह काँखता है  और पेट को  दबाता है 

Bowels.--Constipation of infants during dentition; बच्चों  के दाँत निकलने के समय कब्ज होना, 

only passing small quantity; बहुत थोड़ा मल  निकलता है 

stools knotty, like sheep's dung, crumbling at verge of anus. मल जो गांठ जैसा होता है जैसे भेंड़-बकरी  की लेंढ़ी होती है मल  गुदा के किनारे पर आकर बिखर जाता है 

Painful smarting haemorrhoids.वेदनापूर्ण बवासीर

Female.--Menses black, clotted. मासिक-धर्म के समय निकलने वाला रक्त काला एवं  थक्केदार होता है

Pain in back and thighs. पीरियड के समय पीठ और जाँघों में दर्द रहता है 

Metrorrhagia; worse at night. दो मेंसेज पीरियड के बीच के समय में रक्तस्राव जो, रात के  समय में अधिक होता है 

Great excitement at every period. प्रत्येक मासिक काल में अति उत्तेजना महसूस होना 

Leucorrhoea with every stool and after exercise. 

प्रत्येक मल त्यागने के समय  और व्यायाम के बाद  प्रदर स्राव अर्थात रोगिणी जब लेट्रिन जाती है तब मल त्यागते  समय ल्यूकोरिआ स्राव निकलता है और यदि रोगिणी एक्सरसाइज करती है तो एक्सरसाइज करने के बाद ल्यूकोरिआ स्राव निकलता है 

Tinea ciliaris, eruptions in face and forehead worse before menses.

बरौनी पर दाद अर्थात आँख की पलक के रोम और आँख के ऊपर बरौनी के रोयें की जड़ों में इन्फेक्शन, चेहरे ओर माथे पर दाने, ये सब तकलीफें मासिक-धर्म से पूर्व  अर्थात मासिक-धर्म का समय निकट आने पर  अधिक हो जाती हैं 

Heart.--Palpitation and cardiac pain while sitting; जब रोगी बैठा होता है तब उसे धड़कन और ह्रदय में दर्द होता है 

better by moving about (Gels).यदि रोगी चलने-फिरने लगे तो  धड़कन और ह्रदय दर्द में आराम मिलता है 

Functional cardiac affections with liver enlargement. मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के  रोगी का लीवर बढ़ जाता है और उसे हृदय के कार्य एवं गति सम्बन्धी कष्ट होते हैं 

Respiration.--Spasmodic dry cough; आक्षेपिक सूखी खाँसी अर्थात सूखी  खाँसी  का दौरा, 

worse forepart of night, यह खाँसी रात के प्रारंभिक भाग में अधिक होती है, 

with burning and sore chest.

इस तकलीफ के साथ रोगी के सीने में जलन और दर्द भी रहता है 

Extremities.--

Pain in back and hips; पीठ और नितम्ब में दर्द

in arms and legs. बाँहों और टाँगों में दर्द  

Arms "Go to sleep" when walking in the morning.

सुबह जब रोगी टहल रहा होता है उस समय बाँहें सुन्न हो जाती  हैं 

Sleep.--Sleep during day; restless at night on account of heat and shock: anxious dreams.  

मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के  रोगी को दिन में नींद आती  है , रात में गरमी और शाक महसूस करने  के कारण बेचैनी होती है  । व्याकुल कर देने वाले  स्वप्न आते हैं ।

Modalities.--Worse, immediately after eating,  मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के  रोगी की तकलीफें खाने के तुरन्त बाद बढ़ती हैं

lying on right side दाहिनी करवट लेटने  से भी  तकलीफें  बढ़ती हैं

from sea bathing.समुद्र में नहाने से भी  तकलीफें  बढ़ती हैं

Better, from pressure, मैग्नेशिया म्यूरेयेटिका के  रोगी को  दबाने से आराम मिलता है अर्थात राहत मिलती है  उसकी   तकलीफें दबाने से धीमी  हो जाती हैं 

Better from motion हरकत से हिलने-डुलने से राहत मिलती है, 

open air, except headache.खुली हवा में  सिरदर्द के अतिरिक्त अन्य तकलीफों में राहत मिलती है।

Relationship.--Antidotes: Camph; Cham.

Compare: Nat m; Puls; Sep; Amm m; Nasturtium equaticum -Water-cress--(useful in scorbutic affections and constipation, related to strictures of urinary apparatus; supposed to be aphrodisiacal in its action. Is also antidotal to tobacco narcosis and sedative in neurotic affections, neurasthenia, hysteria. Cirrhosis of liver and dropsy).

Dose.--5 drops of tincture. Third to 200th potency.

MAGNESIA MURIATICA

Hysterical paroxysms: After dinner the patient is seized with nausea, eructations, trembling and fainting spells. These occur after dinner, because that is the principal meal, and more is eaten then than at other times. The patient is anxious and restless, and is always made worse from mental exertion. Congestive headache, with sensation as of boiling water in the cranium, or as a frontal numbness. Pains in the temples, relieved by firm pressure with the hands, also better from wrapping up the head warmly. Sensation as of a ball rising from the stomach into the throat relieved by eructation, accumulation of gas in the stomach causes this reflex symptom. Bearing-down in the uterine region and uterine spasms. Leucorrhoea after every stool, or following the uterine spasms. Menses are black and pitch like, with pain jn the back when walking, and pain in the thighs when sitting. Constipation, stools are passed with great difficulty, being composed of hard lumps or they are so dry that they crumble as they pass the anus.

Liver is enlarged abdomen bloated. Pains in the liver, worse from touch, from lying on right side. Tongue large, coated yellow, takes imprint of the teeth (like Mercurius, but Mercurius lacks crumbling stools which are characteristic to MAGNESIA MURIATICA). Feet oedematous, palpitation of the heart and dyspnoea.

Enlarged liver of children, who are puny in their growth and rachitic. Tinea-ciliaris, an eruption which occurs at the roots of the hairs, particularly of the eye-lids. The hairs drop out. A scaly eruption appears around the hairs, the skin ulcerates and the hairs drop out. With this tinea there are pimples on the face and acrid ozaena, with redness and swelling and scaliness of the nose. Sweat of the feet (like Silicea, but the sweat under Silicea is offensive).

HEART: Palpitation of the heart, which is worse when the patient is quiet and better from moving about. In women, inability to pass urine without pressing on the abdominal walls.

Scrofulous children: Silicea is similar to Magnesia Mur. Both remedies have sweating of the feet, enlarged liver, rachitis and ozaena. The Silicea patient has offensive-smelling sweat, both of the feet and of the head. There is also a resemblance between the headaches of the two remedies. Silicea and Magnesia Mur. both have headache, relieved by wrapping up the head warmly.

Difference between Mercurius and Magnesia Mur. in liver affections. In Mercurius diarrhoea there is tenesmus,  with gray or ashy stool.

Difference between Magnesia Mur. and Ptelea: Ptelea congestion of liver when there is a feeling as of weight and pressure in the right hypochondrium. Liver is enlarged relief by lying on the right side.
