Remove Acne
A common pustular skin disease of the face and upper trunk, most prominent in adolescence. Blackheads become secondarily inflamed due either to local production of irritant fatty acids by bacteria or to bacteria infection itself. In severe cases, with secondary infection and picking of spots, scarring may occur.
Acne may be aggravated by diet (chocolate and nuts being worst offenders), by hormone imbalance, by greasy skin, or by poor hygiene. Methods of treatment include degreasing the skin, removing the blackheads, controlling diet, and exposure to ultraviolet radiation.
